Before any piece of equipment becomes part of the Metos product range, it goes through a careful selection process. The product must meet strict criteria.
Before being accepted into the range, the equipment goes through a rigorous testing process, where the background of the products is carefully researched and product documentation is obtained for review – such as maintenance manuals, user manuals, spare parts documents and technical specifications.
Our dedicated Technical Support Centre will inspect the equipment with the utmost care and carry out detailed technical tests to determine the safety and capacity of the equipment. Safety-in-use testing includes electrical and mechanical safety. Capacity testing checks the actual consumption data and ensures that the equipment is capable of the capacity it is rated for. Test reports are drawn up and discussed with the supplier. In some cases, the equipment is also subjected to operational tests in as realistic an environment as possible. The whole testing process can sometimes take a considerable amount of time before the product is finally accepted into the Metos range.

We have developed safety features for our equipment. The products have special feet so that they can be permanently and securely fixed to the floor. Serving furniture and table tops can be equipped with storm guards. Racks on cooking surfaces keep pots and pans in place and stable. Drawers and doors remain securely closed with lockable doors.

Often galley appliance models are deliberately less technologically advanced, making them more suitable for more challenging environments. Shipboard technology and machinery requires constant maintenance and there are always qualified personnel on board to operate complex equipment. At sea, the maintenance of galley equipment is carried out by shipboard technicians. Our range of marine products also takes into account easy serviceability. This has been done to make the replacement of spare parts by the user as smooth and quick as possible.
